Your Right to Delete Data

At Readest, we value your privacy. If you’ve created a synced account and wish to delete your data, you have the right to request full deletion of your account and any associated information stored in the cloud.

What Data Is Stored

We only store personal data if you enable sync features. This may include:

• Your email address (for cloud login)
• Reading progress and bookmarks
• Notes, highlights, and annotations
• Synced book file and metadata (title, author, etc.)

No data is collected or stored if you use Readest only in offline mode.

How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of your account and associated data:

1. Send an email to privacy@readest.com with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request".
2. Include the email address you used to log into Readest (if applicable).
3. Confirm that you’d like your account and all associated data permanently deleted.

We will respond to your request within 7 days and delete your data within 14 days.

What Will Be Deleted

• Your Readest cloud account (if any)
• All synced files, reading progress, notes, and bookmarks
• All settings and preferences stored in the cloud

What May Be Retained

Some anonymized analytics data may be retained to improve the app. Additionally, backups may retain data temporarily (up to 30 days) before being purged automatically.
